Chocolate war: Savannah, Vocabulary Enricher

Hey guys ðŸ˜Š
In today's literature circles meeting, I was assigned to be the Vocabulary Enricher. It took quite a bit of time, but I finished it. In this blog, I explored the Chocolate War, and sought words that completely intrigued me, or words that were unfamiliar to me.

Sentence: The woman was at a store with a million dollars and wanted to squander it mainly in the shoe section.

Ingratiate     23          3            Bring oneself into favor with someone by flattering or trying to please them.
Sentence: The little girl was trying to ingratiate herself with her parents

Condone:     27         1             Excuse, Overlook, or make allowances for; be lenient with
Sentence: My teacher does not condone when students speak over her while she is talking.

Contemptuous: 21    7            Showing contempt; scornful
Sentence: He felt so contempt for her, that he went back to give her $10.
