The Chocolate War : Vocabulary Enricher (Kresten Due)

 For my literature circles I am reading "The Chocolate War" by Robert Cormier, and for this rotation in my literature circles group I was the vocabulary enricher, which meant I had to find odd vocabulary words and discover their definition. So far we have read 87 pages and intend to finish the book over spring break. Here is a table containing the words, their definitions, and where they are found in the book. Many of the words were sometimes known but turned out to have slightly different meanings in different contexts (e.g blitz)

Page 35 Paragraph 3	Provincial	Showing various viewpoints. A meeting point where different viewpoints are observed
Page 36 Paragraph 4	Convulsive	Has convulsion in it ; Violent agitation, a disturbance, or involuntary muscle contraction

Page 76 Paragraph 2	Blitz	A full out attack, swift vigorous attack or in football terms a charge at the passer on the ball snapped

Page 51 Paragraph 3	Siphon	Is part of an animal’s body, but is also a verb when one is draining liquid from a to b using a siphon. It is also a tool to perform the verb.

Page 62 Paragraph 2	Mussed	A synonym for messed up or a state lacking order and tidiness
